"The famous teachers of Karabakh" - Jabbar Garyaghdioghlu
The next historical figure of the "Famous Teachers of Karabakh" project of the Ministry of Education is Jabbar Garyaghdioghlu. He was born in 1861 in "Seyidli" block of Shusha.
Jabbar Garyaghdioghlu has a special place in the history of Azerbaijan's national music culture. He was not only a singer of mugham, but also known as a talented composer and poet. A new stage in the art of Azerbaijani mugham singing is associated with his name. He was one of the first organizers of the Azerbaijan State Conservatory.
Jabbar Garyaghdioglu is called the living history and encyclopedia of Azerbaijani folk music. His mughams and folk songs are the most precious pearls of Azerbaijan's musical treasure. The role of Jabbar Garyaghdioghlu in the formation of opera art in our country is also great, he is the first actor of our opera scene. He was both a great artist and a caring teacher. He was taking care of his students and advising them to protect their voices: "Sound and beauty are the gifts of God. You should know their value. You must first protect your voice."
It should be noted that the "Famous Teachers of Karabakh" project provides information about famous people born in Karabakh and engaged in pedagogical activities. The aim of the project is to commemorate famous teachers originally from Karabakh.
